Leveraging expert ecological planning and site design, we restore wetlands, streams, and natural habitats—enhancing biodiversity, improving water quality, stabilizing hydrology, and providing essential ecosystem services. From initial ecological assessments and erosion control to long-term stewardship and habitat maintenance, we offer holistic environmental restoration that aligns with regulatory requirements and supports resilient development.
Key environmental services include:
- Ecological site assessments and hydrologic restoration
- Wetland, stream, and aquatic habitat enhancement or creation
- Erosion control systems paired with native landscape installations
- Ongoing stewardship, monitoring, and habitat maintenance
- Regulatory support and green infrastructure consulting

REESMAN EXPERTISE IN MITIGATION BANKS
Mitigation banking is a strategic, market-based approach to offsetting environmental impacts by restoring, preserving, enhancing, or creating aquatic ecosystems. These mitigation banks yield credits approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and EPA, which developers purchase to comply with regulatory requirements while delivering enhanced conservation outcomes.
At The Reesman Company, we bring full-spectrum expertise in establishing and managing mitigation banks:
- Selecting and preparing sites for restoration that meet regulatory feasibility and ecological goals.
- Restoring hydrology, planting native vegetation, and building sustainable wetlands or stream habitats.
- Managing bank compliance—including credit accounting, monitoring, maintenance, and regulatory reporting—to ensure ecological performance and legal assurance.
With decades of experience in restoring ecosystems, managing erosion control, and delivering wildlife-supportive landscapes, Reesman offers seamless environmental solutions—from regulatory navigation to resilient ecological outcomes.
REGENERATIVE STORMWATER CONVEYANCES
Working with environmental engineers, we develop Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance (RSC) systems—an innovative green infrastructure approach that treats, infiltrates, and conveys stormwater in one integrated solution. RSCs use a sequence of step-pools, riffle-weirs, native vegetation, and underlying sand/woodchip media beds to slow stormwater flows, enhance infiltration, and filter pollutants—while also stabilizing eroded channels. RSC systems are especially valuable on sites with steep slopes, limited space, or degraded outfalls—transforming infrastructure into ecological assets that blend with natural hydrology.
